SUBJ: Small Boat Course for Local Law Enforcement(SBCLLE)-004/07


1.	This is a call for volunteers to assit in the fourth SBCLLE for the
Port Authority Police Department.  

2.	The course dates are: June 11 to June 22, M-F.  Some sessions are
0800 - 1400, others are 1400 - 2000.  The course may be at LGA or JFK
airports or possibly both.

3.  	A.	This is a District Wide event, open to all Instructor's,
Boat Crew, AuxCom Qualified and Coxswains.  
		You may volunteer for:
		1.   A single half session 1/2 day (1st half or 2nd half.
		2.   One full session (8 hours).
		3.   Multiple sessions (either half or full, they don't need
to be sequential). 

	B.	We are still in need of Facilities.  These boats need to be
under 46' and greater than 16'.  Preferred type are open console or
walk-a-round (larger boats need ample aft wx deck area). Engine type is not
an issue.  

		1.  Boats should be available for either the first, second
or both weeks.  
		2.  Boats (and crews) will be under orders.  
		3.  All boats on trailers are kept under 24 hour direct
observation, and be in the aiport security zone.  Those tied to the dock are
under 24 hour visual (remote) observation and/or direct observation.  
		4.  The PAPD will be responsible for providing fuel.

	C.	We need AuxCom Qualified individuals to run our Net Control.

		1.  We can also use some handhelds (AUXNET frequencies) for
those Crews that don't have AUXNET capabilities.

	D.    All non-boat crew individuals will be under non-reimburseable
orders.

4.	Those individuals wishing to volunteer, need to register here:

	A.	You will need to create and remember a password, that is 8
alpha-numeric characters long. 

	B.	Fill in the form and then use the other options to
schedule your self.  We will create the final schedule on or about 1 May
2007.  There will be a link showing your final schedule.

	C.	Please read the notes page. Additionally, if this is your
first involvement with the SBCLLE, the following needs to be faxed to Wayne
Spivak at 212-226-8114:
		1.	Copy of your Member ID
		2.	Copy of your Driver's License

5.	The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists in the First
Southern abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc.
