Subj: NEW YORK CITY VETERAN'S DAY PARADE UPDATE -022/06
1. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE TO THE AUTHORIZED UNIFORMS FOR THE PARADE.
SERVICE DRESS BRAVO IS THE ONLY AUTHORIZED UNIFORM, ODU AND FLIGHT SUITS ARE
NO LONGER AUTHORIZED.
(A) UNIFORM FOR THE PARADE SHALL BE SERVICE DRESS BRAVO WITH COMBINATION
COVER. THE FOLLOWING UNIFORM ITEMS ARE ALSO AUTHORIZED:
USE OF AN AUTHORIZED OUTER GARMENT IN LIEU OF THE SDB JACKET. THE
WINDBREAKER, REEFER, OVERCOAT OR ALL WEATHER PARKA MAY BE WORN IN ADDITION
TO, OR INSTEAD OF THE SDB JACKET. A GARRISON COVER MAY BE WORN IN LIEU OF
THE COMBINATION COVER.
2. PARADE STAGING AND SEQUENCE:
The following information has been received concerning the Parade:
(A) The Coast Guard staging area is on 5th Ave. Between 23ard and 24th
Street.
(B) Vehicles should be in the staging area by 0900
(C) Marchers should be at the staging area NOT LATER THAN 1030
(D) A parade Marshall has been assigned and will be wearing a yellow
jacket
(E) The Madison Sq. Park/Eternal Light Monument Ceremony will be held
from 1000 to 1100
(F) Hospitality Street (56thStreet between 5th and 6th Ave.) for 0900 to
1800
(G) Coast Guard Line of March:
Coast Guard Color Guard
Senior CG Officer
USCG Formation
Boat
USCGA Color Guard
USCGA Formation
USCG rolling vehicles
