1. FYI:

The Auxiliary Needs a Few Good ITs

If you think you've got the stuff, we have the need.

1SR needs some top quality, dynamic, motivational instructors who desire to
become part of the First Southern Flotilla Commander Academy (FCA)
Instructor Cadre. Interested candidates must meet minimum criteria, go
through an interview and training process and commit to teaching at the
Flotilla Commander's Academy in New London in December.

A one-on-one interview in front of a review board is tentatively scheduled
following the September District meeting. This interview will serve as the
selection process for a two-day training session. A two-day weekend
training program will be scheduled at some time in October. Candidates will
demonstrate adaptation to changing instructional conditions.

Being selected for the weekend training program does not a guarantee a
candidate will make the final selection process to become a certified FCA
Instructor.

Candidates should forward a resume to Wesley L. Doody, endorsed via the
following Chain of Communication: FC - DCP - RCO.

Minimum Criteria
1.	Two years of elected office, of which at least one year must be as
Flotilla Commander.
2.	Instructor Qualified for two years (or other instructional career
qualifications)
3.	Four or more years experience in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and/or
Coast Guard.
4.	Time to commit to a training weekend in October and the December
2006 FCA.
5.	Candidates must have email, access to a laptop computer with
Microsoft PowerPoint and minimal understanding of creating/using PowerPoint.

Resumes should include name, address, contact information, Auxiliary
experience -positions held - and other career related experience that may be
applicable.

this program and what you can contribute to it. This explanation should not
exceed one half page.
