Subj:   PAPD SBCLLE Call for Volunteers  -009/06

1.     The Small Boat Course for Local Law Enforcement (SBCLLE) Class III is
tentatively scheduled for Jun 12th to June 23rd, 2006.  

2.    This years course will be given at LaGuardia Airport.

3.    This year we require boats, as well as communicators, boat crew and
coxswains.

Please note:  Coxswains and Boat Crew may be tasked with Crew or Comms duty.
Volunteers must be flexible.

4.     Boats:  18 to 30, center console or walk-a-round construction
preferred.  Boats may be offered for use during week 1, week 2 or for the
entire training period, but must participate for a minimum of two days.
Boats can be stored at the airport on the weekend before or after the boat
has been utilized for training.  We need boats!

5.     Coxswain/Boat Crew required to sign on for at least a single session
(depending on circumstances, number of boats and total Coxswain/Crew, the
minimum session may be 1/2 day or full day.

6.     Communicators:  Require minimum 1/2 day and be AUXCOM qualified.  We
will be using VHF radio's.  A cell phone is required for all Communicators.

7.     The SBCLLE is open to all members of 1SR.  Housing can be arranged,
but only on non-reimbursable orders.

8.     There will be a meeting of all volunteers in late May, at which time
we will provide on a space available, Coxswain first, area familiarization.
All accepted volunteers must attend (on a weekend).

9.     All interested volunteers who have not yet contacted the Program
Director, please send an e-mail to WSpivak at sbanetweb.com with your name,
member number, flotilla/division, qualifications and boat size/type.

10.  The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists in the First Southern
abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc. 

11.  Internet Release and Distribution is Authorized.
