1. I recently attended the 25th Annual Coast Guard Foundation Dinner where
heroes from Hurricane Katrina were recognized.  A total of 13 members of the
CG Family representing thousands of other heroes were recognized on stage in
front of a crowd of over a thousand CG supporters.  Two of the thirteen
heroes recognized were Auxiliarists Dave Phillips and Chris Ware for their
support of Sector New Orleans following Katrina.  They represented all of
you who have contributed to the remarkable integrated CG response, BZ!

2. All Auxiliarists are encouraged to participate in the Veteran's Day
Parade on 11 November in New York City.  Anyone interested in attending
should respond via the chain of leadership.  Division Captains should send a
list of participants to Don Reilly, Div 5 Captain by 7 November.

3. The Uniform Distribution Center has an abundant supply of ODU's available
in all sizes.  Their phone number is 800-874-6841.  It appeared at the
National conference that many Auxiliarists were not aware of the variety of
sizes and availability the UDC offered.

4. The Mystic Marriott is completely booked for the upcoming Leadership
Workshop on December 2-4, 2005.  An alternative hotel has been established.
The Holiday Inn on Frontage Road in New London is holding a block of rooms
for us at the per diem rate of $87.  Reservations can be made at
860-442-0631. All attendees must also request orders via the Chain.  Orders
must be requested no later than November 11, 2005. Attendance is open to
elected leadership.

5.	The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists in the First
Southern abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc. 

6.	Internet Release and Distribution is Authorized.
