1.	All - Happy New Year - I hope that your celebrations and time off
over the holidays was enjoyable, peaceful and restful! 2005 will be a BIG
year for the AUX in D1SR. There will be lots of opportunities to excel - in
many different, new and old areas. We need to continue our tradition of
professional operational excellence, we need to grow our public education
efforts, we must continue positive growth in ALL mission areas and we need
to be ready to take on, recruit and prepare for the new tasks we will be
asked to perform as part of Team Coast Guard. I would ask that you keep the
following thoughts in mind as we embark upon the new year - they apply to
ALL members, old, new and potential - 

2.	We are on a journey - some of us have been and will be for some
time. We are committed to this journey, and every member has personally
taken responsibility for participation. Committing to membership means you
are not just accepting a job. If you take a stand to be on this team, you
are declaring that you will make a difference for every member and have a
positive, potentially world class, impact on the Auxiliary at large. If you
say "yes" to being a member, you become an owner and creator of our vision.
What that means personally for you is that you are First Southern Auxiliary.

3.	BE READY - BE PROFESSIONAL and HELP ANOTHER TO BECOME THE SAME!!!

4.	The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists in the First
Southern abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc.
