1.	Because of the long time it takes for the multitude of vital
statistics bureaus to repsond to OPM during the PSI process,  it is now
possible for members and applicants to significantly reduce the cycle time
on an OS or new member approval process. 

2.	By providing a copy of any of the following forms of documentation
and showing the original of same to a fingerprint tech or AUX PSI
Coordinator and having the form completed along with your PSI package, it
should take significantly less time to process.

3.Any of the following documents are acceptable for verification of US
citizenship:

(1)	birth certificate showing that an applicant/Auxiliarist was born in
the US
(2)	FS-240 (report of birth abroad of a US citizen)
(3)	FS-545 (certificate of birth - foreign service)
(4)	DS-1350 (certificate of birth issued by US Department of State)
(5)	US passport (does not matter if unexpired or expired)
(6)	certificate of US citizenship (INS form N-560 or N-561)
(7)	certificate of naturalization (INS form N-550 or N-570)
